A warm welcome from our church family

Gospel Baptist Church is a fast growing, independent Baptist church which bases its faith and practice completely on the Bible.

The church has had a presence in Lucan for about 10 years, but the church officially began on January 13th, 2008 when a group of believers committed themselves to the Lord and to a statement of faith that defines who we are as a church.

As a young church, there is an exciting atmosphere in our services.  Knowing that we will be spending eternity with the God of Heaven gives us much hope.  For us, knowing the Lord is knowing Him as our personal Saviour, and we come to church with the expectation of hearing what He has to say to us personally from His Word, the Bible.

We believe that our number one purpose, as the children of God, is to bring glory and honour to the Lord Jesus Christ rather than seeking to please self.  Therefore, we conduct our services in such a way as to both bring glory and honour to a holy God and stir our hearts to love and serve Him more.

Opportunities To Serve

We believe that the Holy Spirit has gifted every believer at the point of his or her salvation with at least one spiritual gift, and that gift should be properly exercised in the local church for the health and benefit of both the believer and the church.  For this reason, Gospel Baptist Church provides opportunities for its members to serve in a number of areas when they have gotten settled.
